What is AHIP?

AHIP is an industry-recognized certification test required by most carriers if agents want to sell Medicare Advantage (MA) and Prescription Drug Plans (PDP). Most carriers require you to take this test before taking their own additional specific certifications. This is an annual requirement and is of utmost importance.

Aetna
  • 2025 certification for Aetna MA/MAPD & PDP begins June 27, 2024!
  • You can access Aetna’s certification options starting Thursday, June 27, 2024 at AetnaMedicareProducerCertification.com
Cigna
  • Our 2025 Medicare Certification will launch on Friday, June 28, 2024! To prepare for the launch, Producers’ University will be undergoing scheduled maintenance and will be unavailable from June 21-24th.
  • Visit CignaMedicareProducers.com to complete the 2025 Certifications!
Clover Health
  • 2024 Certifications in Miramar will close on 6/1/2024
  • If an agent is already enrolled in their 2024 certification program, they will be able to finish it, but no agents may begin certifications after 6/1/2024. All 2024 certification codes will error out.
  • Why do we do this? 2025 certifications are dual certifications. Any agent who completes 2025 certifications will become RTS for 2024 & 2025. We don’t want your agents to duplicate efforts by potentially completing certifications twice in 2 months.
  • 2025 Certifications will open in Miramar on 7/16/2024
  • Your agency must sign our 2025 contract addendum in order to receive your 2025 certification code. Contract addendums will be sent out via Docusign in early July to each agency principal for signature. The agency principal must sign the contract.
  • Reminder: 2025 certification codes for your agency will be completely different from your 2024 certification code
  • Transfer Reminders:
  • Clover Health’s blackout period is October 1st – December 31st. Agents may NOT move uplines during this period.
  • The last day to submit a Notice of Intent to Transfer is June 30th
  • Agents may only change Uplines one time per calendar year
  • Agents are moved only on the 1st of each month
Devoted
  • PY25 Agent Certification Dates:
  • Certification Launch: Tuesday, June 25, 2024
  • Blackout Period: Saturday, June 15, 2024, to Monday, June 24, 2024
  • Visit agent.devoted.com and sign in to complete the 2025 Certification!
Elevance Health
  • 2025 MAPD/PDP certification will start on July 2nd, 2024!
    Please note:
  • As of June 20th, 2024, the Medicare Certification Center will be undergoing maintenance in preparation for the July 2nd, 2024 launch of 2025 AEP Agent Certification. The site is expected to be down until 8:00am eastern time on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024.
  • The certification instructions and user guide will be shared as soon as it’s available.
  • Reminder, as per last year’s certifications, all modules are mandatorily required for all agents.
Humana
  • Humana’s 2025 Certification will be available July 2nd, 2024!
  • Visit humana.com and sign into your Vantage portal to access the 2025 Certification!

Shared Health of MS
  • 2025 Certification is available June 24th, 2024!
  • Sign into the Shared Health Pinpoint Global logon to Certify for 2025!

United Healthcare

  • UHC certification launches July 10th, 2024!
  • Certification can be accessed through the Jarvis Portal in the Learning Lab.
